Climate change
Climate change is a serious environmental problem that affects us all, but what is climate change. According to National Geographic it is the long-term alteration of temperature and typical weather patterns in a place. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas. When these fossil fuels burn, they release greenhouse gases - mostly carbon dioxide (CO2). These gases trap the Sun's heat and cause the planet's temperature to rise. Though our planet’s forests and oceans absorb greenhouse gases from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and other processes, these natural carbon sinks can’t keep up with our rising emissions. The resulting buildup of greenhouse gases is causing alarmingly fast warming worldwide. How will it affect?
